Little wonder in his role as President General of Akpo Development Association, Anambra State, Akpo was the first community to endorse Governor Willie Obiano for second term in September 2017.

According to a source in Aguata South Constintuency: "Onyenenyo as Ezeno GOC is popularly known is an APGA stakeholder having played a very prominent role making sure that APGA won the governorship elections. His community through him was the first to endorse Obiano for second term. Don't forget his role in ASATU which culminated in the endorsement of Governor Willie Obiano for second term. Little wonder he is the favourite to pick the ticket as Representative, Aguata South Constituency in the 2019 elections."

The source added: "He is very popular among the youths and is a role model. Thanks to his visionary leadership which has culminated in an agricultural project designed to empower the youth,  12 kilometres of road construction which should kick of soon. The peace presently enjoyed by his community in Anambra State is unparalleled.  You need not wonder any more why the youths are clamouring for him to run for office," the source added stating that his team is busy working round the clock to make sure that Onyeneyo clinches APGA nomination ticket for the 2019 elections.
